On-Air Graduation Party Contest Rules
Attention graduates! You are invited to a graduation party on YES FM that we are throwing for you! And one graduate could win a Chromebook!
To enter, send us a YouTube video telling us your name, what school you have graduated from, your accomplishments, memories, thank yous, and what you plan to do in the future. Please record your video horizontally. Send your 60 second or less video link to studio@yeshome.com by end of the day Monday, June 8. Those under 18 must include permission from a parent or legal guardian and include that person’s name and phone number.
Grand prize winner chosen by random drawing will receive a bag of YES FM swag and a brand new Acer touchscreen Chromebook from Gig Above Computer Services in Wauseon. Tell your family and friends to join us for the party by listening, Friday, June 12 from 9pm to midnight. The 5 Grads with the most listeners will win a bag of YES FM swag and a dozen gourmet cupcakes from a bakery near you. Contest is open to legal U.S. and Puerto Rico residents who are 18 years or older and are physically located in the U.S. or Puerto Rico at the time of entry. Those graduates under 18 must include the name and contact information of a parent or legal guardian. Employees of the YES FM Radio Network (“Sponsor”) and their family members are not eligible to enter or to win. Graduate can be of any age but must have graduated or will graduate in 2020 This contest is sponsored by YES FM, the decisions of the “Sponsor” regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials or announcements relating to the contest.
All contest entries become the property of YES FM and we may withhold any or all contest entry materials for any reason station management deems crucial to the completion of the Contest. By entering, entrant or parent or legal guardian for those under 18, agrees to YES FM using their video and/or audio to help promote the contest and for YES FM promotional materials, including, but not limited to, on the air, social media, print materials, and website. One entrant from each graduate may enter the contest only once. In the case of multiple entries by the same person, all entries will be discarded but one. Entry deadline, Wednesday, June 10, at 11:59pm Pacific.
Each entrant, or parent or legal guardian for those entrants under 18, agrees that in the event he or she wins this contest, YES FM shall have the right, without further compensation, to publicize and/or broadcast his or her name, city of residence and the fact that he or she has entered, and in the case of winning the contest, that he or she won the contest.
Entries from those under 18 without permission from parent or legal guardian will be destroyed.
One entrant from each graduate may enter the contest only once. In the case of multiple entries by the same person, all entries will be discarded but one.
YES FM is required to report winnings exceeding $600 per year (in the aggregate) to the Internal Revenue Service and will provide winners falling within this requirement with an IRS Form 1099 after the close of the calendar year in which the prize(s)were won. Winners agree to provide YES FM with their social security number and such other information as may be required by YES FM to comply with applicable laws.
YES FM reserves the right to substitute another prize of equal or greater value for the prize originally announced if the original contest prize is or becomes unavailable. YES FM is not responsible for any delays in receipt of prizes caused by the postal system or bakery chosen for the cupcakes. YES FM will do its best to choose cupcakes that the winner prefers, but YES FM will make the final decision. Winners may not request substitution or other consideration from the originally awarded prize.
YES FM reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or recipient of drawing (whether or not the recipient of contest’s identity has been announced) who does not adhere to the rules applicable to the contest in which he or she entered or who gains an unfair advantage through fraud or unsportsmanlike conduct in participating in the contest. Unless otherwise stated, all winners must respond to sponsor’s notification to claim said prize(s) within forty-eight (48) hours of notice or attempted notice. With respect to any disputes regarding any contest(s), all decisions of the “sponsor” are final. All rules are subject to change without notice.
In the event any contest specific rules conflict with these general rules, the contest specific rules shall control. On occasion, circumstances may require the rules of a contest to be modified. YES FM reserves the right to interpret and apply all rules applicable to its contests and its interpretation and application shall be final.
By participating in the contest, each participant agrees to fully release, forever discharge and hold harmless sponsor, YES FM and their respective suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers and each such company’s officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, and successors and assigns (collectively, the “released parties”) from and against any claims, costs, liabilities, losses, injuries, and damages arising out of the contest, including, but not limited to injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, loss of enjoyment or contest; (2) the quality, receipt, possession, use, or misuse of any prize; or (3) any travel or activity that is related to the contest or any prize.
The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by PARTICIPANTs, printing OR PRODUCTION errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or EMPLOYED in the contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the contest; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the contest, the processing of entries, or the notification of any winner; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from A PARTICIPANT’S participation in the contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
Winner of Grand Prize chosen by YES FM staff via random drawing. Five winners of YES FM Swag and a dozen cupcakes will be decided by how many people text 419-240-1937 between 9pm and midnight Eastern time, Friday, June 12, 2020. One text perf person texting for the graduate. Winners will be announced several days following June 12, 2020. All decisions are final and at YES FM’s discretion.
