When I first heard YESfm in my teenage years, I was hooked! I discovered the Newsboys, DC Talk, and Audio Adrenaline whose music served to bring passion to my young faith. I often joked about becoming a white girl rapper, to which my husband amusingly gave me the stage name Vanilla Spice. The two of us met on August 3, 2004, at the Cleveland American Idol auditions through a mutual friend. Neither of us made it through, but we made out with the best prize – each other. Married 11 months later, we began our faith-filled adventure which now includes four children and two mini goldendoodles. We love traveling and nerding out as a family to different fandoms including Marvel, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Lego. I also enjoy homeschooling my kiddos, connecting with friends, serving others, and training for marathons. I get lost in quotes, theology, audiobooks, and espresso. And if you hang around me long enough, you’ll hear about my baking, especially my carrot cake. At the center of this love for life, is my love for God and people. Ministry has been my heartbeat for as long as I can remember, which recently led me to Wesley Seminary where I am completing an MA in Ministry specializing in Spiritual Formation. My greatest joy in life is experiencing God showing up in people’s lives and seeing him do what only he can do!
