YES FM Mission

Many people have expectations and thoughts of what the role of Christian radio is in our culture, and those thoughts and expectations run the gamut. Because they each have merit, there are several styles of Christian radio stations throughout the world today, all designed to meet specific needs according to the calling God has placed on them. As you read a little further, look around our website, and listen to our music. We pray that you will see the vision that God has called us to do at YES FM.

YES FM has a heart for the young people of Northwest/West-Central Ohio and Southeast Michigan. Through all the pressures and struggles that face teens and young adults in our culture, YES FM strives to be a positive influence, demonstrating the hope that is to be found in Jesus Christ. As that hope is shown, we also believe the promise Christ has given us, that if we lift Him up, He will draw all men unto Himself, regardless of age, background, or economic status (John 12:32).

Simply being on the air is not enough to accomplish this, so we are in the community as much as possible. We strive to build strong relationships with as many churches and para-church organizations throughout the area. Our goal is not to replace or fill the position of a church or ministry in our listeners’ lives, but rather compliment and encourage them in the things that have been taught or shown in God’s Word from their church home.

It is reminiscent of the two disciples in Luke 24 who were walking on the road to Emmaus. They needed to know that Jesus was with them in their time of need. YES FM endeavors to be used daily to reveal to our listeners that Jesus is with them on their spiritual journey wherever they are.

There is no doubt that YES FM is a unique ministry. Most Christian radio stations are unable to touch people directly because they are limited to just their broadcasting across the airwaves. YES FM reaches beyond the confines of the radio transmissions to affect lives directly. YES FM hosts numerous concerts throughout the area. The ministry has spoken at many schools and participated in area school’s extra curricular activities. We go to great lengths to get involved in the lives of our listeners and make a positive impact in their lives while being a constructive influence in the communities we serve.

There are currently four stations in the YES FM Radio Network. We have frequencies in Toledo, Lima, Wauseon, and Fremont. Broadcasting on the Internet has opened the opportunity to minister globally, and we have received positive feedback from believers from other nations and continents.
