Spike Chiquet is a radio veteran of more than 30 years and has been with YES-FM since the Fall of 2011 after moving to the Toledo area earlier that year. A native of the Upper Peninsula, Spike is a born-and-raised Yooper who loves hockey and curling. He has worked at a variety of Christian and secular radio stations in his career along with time spent as a TV sports anchor; a sports radio play-by-play announcer; along with being an award-winning sports writer at a variety of newspapers in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Spike and his wife, Raynae, have a son, Logan, along with two dogs: R2Dog2 (Artoo for short) and Houston and is a trustee at Perrysburg Alliance Church. He enjoys collecting hats, playing Minecraft with his son and listening to a variety of music: from Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and CCR to Tourniquet, Living Sacrifice, Emery, Twenty One Pilots, LeCrae, NF and NEEDTOBREATHE.
